Rising Mains
Rising mains for whole house protection, whether a small flat or a large house, Housetron has a solution to scaling. Small 1 — 2 bedroom dwellings often require only 1 — 2 units depending on the hardness levels of the water. In areas with low hardness an individual unit is often sufficient on the inlet cold water / rising mains of the house. In harder areas a second unit is often required for water heaters / power showers (see appropriate sections) The rising mains is normally located under the kitchen sink.

Power Shower
Scale poses a serious threat to the operation of power showers. Scale will form in the head of the shower resulting in blocking. Further damage can be done to the pump, which will eventually cease to operate and need replacing. Housetron works by altering the physical properties of what would form hard scale. This alteration results in an undepositable crystal which stays is suspension in the water and does not form hard scale. Users of Housetron can experience 'softer water' when showering, leaving hair and skin feeling softer and the water absorbency is increased giving a fuller lather when washing.

Combi Boilers
The hard scale hotbed. A fragile piece of equipment with no treatment can often cost hundreds in repair costs / loss of energy. For every 1mm of scale that builds up on a boilers element it is estimated that it will require almost 10% more power to heat the water. 2mm = 20% and 3mm = 30% over a period of time this can amount to a substantial sum, until the element breaks and a new one has to be bought. Housetron can start saving money in a short period of time. Housetron works by neutralising what would form hard scale and altering its physical state so that it stays in suspension and does not form hard scale.

Pre Treatment of Residential RO system
While RO Systems remove particles from the water using membrane filtration they are still prone to the build up of scale. This can form as a hard crust on the outside of the membrane dramatically reducing the life of a membrane. Housetron will work by softening the existing scale and ensuring that hard scale does not return, considerably extending the life of the membrane. The RO unit will also run more efficiently with Housetron as it physically alters calcium carbonate into a much larger crystal which the RO unit can easily remove.

Fountains / Sprinkler Systems
Scale formation not only takes place when water is heated up but also through pressure change for example on a sprinkler system, where scale build up can block nozzles completely, resulting in back pressure in the system. Housetron works by altering calcium carbonate that forms a crystal and stays in suspension in the water and does not form hard scale when experiencing pressure change.
